    Please note that our studio is not soundproof

    The Mod Loft is located on the 2nd floor of a commercial loft building. There is not much noise throughout the day, but occasional traffic noise can be heard.

    Lighting

    The MOD Loft is a corner unit with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows facing both east and south, filling the space with abundant natural light throughout the day. In the early morning, direct sunlight pours in through the eastern-facing windows. As the day progresses, the sun shifts toward the south, offering softer, more even illumination across a variety of shooting areas.

    Parking

    There is no complementary parking for the building. Most guests use Spot Hero or use one of the options below:

    • Metered Parking: There is paid meter parking along South Michigan Avenue

    • Parking Lot: There are a few parking lots within walking distance of the studio.

    • No smoking anywhere in the studio or building.

    • No pets without prior written permission (additional fee required)

    • No alcohol, drugs, guns or other related paraphernalia permitted.

    • No loud music, noise levels must remain respectful to other units.

    • No glitter, confetti, powders, paint, body oils, or open flames (candles, incense, sparklers, etc.) without prior approval.

    • The use of fog or haze machines is not permitted.

    • No sexual activity or explicit photoshoots.

    • Full nudity is not allowed.

    • Food and drinks are not allowed on any furniture/ props. Any damage caused to the furniture will result in additional fees.

    • Please return all furniture and props to their original position before leaving.

    • Overtime fees apply if you require extra time loading/unloading/resetting the space. Your booking begins from the time you book.

  • Please note for all bookings, start and end times include setup and break down. Any late check-outs will be charged in 30min increments at 1.5x the hourly rate. We schedule cleaning and last-minute studio checks between all bookings.

  • The studio is equipped with a loading garage with direct access to the elevator. Bookings with larger equipment loads may request access to the loading garage.

    2 platform carts are also available for use upon request.

  • The studio is ADA accessible. Parts of the studio (upstairs dressing room) are only accessible by stairs.

  • The studio is equipped with security cameras. By booking the studio, you acknowledge our surveillance cameras will be recording during your booking. Footage is never monitored unless an issue occurs during a booking.

    Security cameras are not permitted in restrooms or dressing rooms

  • Guests may cancel or reschedule their booking up to 24 hrs prior to the event start time. Cancellations will receive a full refund. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the event start time are non-refundable and do not qualify for a reschedule.
